We will be able to provide additional information about your in-network benefits available at Ocutique. If your insurance is considered out of network, we will submit the necessary paperwork to your insurance company for reimbursement on your behalf. The amount of reimbursement will be specific to your plan and its policies.
Do you take insurance?
How long does it take for prescription eyewear and how will I know when my eyeglasses are ready?
Typically, it takes 1-2-weeks for prescription eyeglass orders.
Once the glasses arrive to our shop, an optician will quality control your order by checking the prescription and looking for defects.
Once the glasses have passed inspection, a member of our team will reach out to schedule your glasses pick up appointment via your preferred method of contact.
Glasses pickup appointments are scheduled to ensure facetime with our opticians to properly check your vision in your new eyewear and to make the necessary frame adjustments for comfort and wearability. The pickup appointment is typically around 20 minutes.
We provide a complimentary eyeglass cleaning cloth and lens cleaning spray that is safe for all eyeglass lens types at the time of pickup.
Do you offer Eye Exams at Ocutique?
No, but we offer contact lens fitting exams and DVM vision tests.
We offer contact lens fittings with a NYS certified contact lens practitioner for those with a current eyeglass prescription, and we offer NYS DMV vision tests to those with a driver’s license who wish to renew their NYS license online.
Ocutique does not have a doctor on-site to provide routine vision care or exams, but we can provide a full optical experience to anyone with a valid prescription for eyeglasses and/or contact lenses.

Do I need an appointment?
Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are welcome!
We encourage you to make an appointment so there is time set aside just for you to work with a member of our team to find the perfect pair of prescription eyeglasses or sunglasses, discuss lens options, order contacts or to sort out insurance and payment options.

Please note, preference will be given to those with an appointment. All contact lens fitting exams, glasses pickups and insertion and removal trainings require an appointment scheduled in advance.

We have no-cost trial contact lenses available which allow our customers the ability to try a new prescription or brand before purchasing a supply. The trial contact lenses are only available to customers of Ocutique with a valid contact lens prescription.
Ocutique offers competitive pricing and also has access to manufacturer’s rebates which may help significantly reduce the cost of a (6) month or (1) year supply of contact lenses, especially for new-to-the-brand wearers and customers without insurance.
You can still get the online ordering benefits, such as product shipped to your door (if preferable) and contactless payment.

Do your frames and lenses have warranties?
Yes!
All new frames and lenses are covered under a manufacturer warranty for a period of 1-2 years, sometimes more, depending on the frame brand and the lens options selected at the time of purchase.
